The ballot box will be here shortly, give these people a voting paper.

In Northland in particular (and probably Auckland) there is probably a >>sizable number of people not happy with the way lockdowns were

The "Freedom" party that wants to deny free speech to others is fairly >concentrated in Auckland; I can't see the lockdowns being much of an
issue in Northland - after all the world-leading low number of Covid
deaths delivered a majority single party government last time.
They
are more likely to be concerned about regional support including
provision of water; social support, including minimum wage and the
removal of GST on fruit. Willow Jean Prime is the current MP by a very
small margin at the last election - Matt King is not standing again-I
don't know how Grant McCallum is regarded; and Shane Jones who came
third last time is standing again.

Rich, the tide turned against the Labour Government after the last
election. The Parliamentary protest was instrumental in this as was
the Auckland lockdowns after the election that effectively
geographically isolated Northland as I said in my prior post.

provision of water; social support, including minimum wage and the

Off-topic in respect of the OP commenting on what happened at the
Otara markets yesterday, but be aware there is a strong anti-Labour
feeling out there in Northland and the Freedom party is nowhere to be
seen.
The feelings are strong and there are likely to be protesters wherever
the PM campaigns.
