• The rot from this Labour government goes even deeper!

Suggesting Maori have free speech while the rest have to watch what we say! Typical of the drive towards an apartheid society. Rich will love it!:)

This is a 90-page document with 161 clauses and 4 Appendixes. Can you
be a bit more specific by identifying the clauses you consider to be
    'rot'?

We already have censorship of movies etc. so this is nothing new.
While I agree that proposals to censor content served up by the
internet, I saw no evidence of any race-based segregation as you seem
    to have.

We have a number of regulators - the Commerce Commission, Reserve
Bank, FMA et al. They are tasked with regulations enforcement.
Clearly you believe that what is proposed here is different but you
have given no specifics. From what I can see the proposal is for
another regulator whose primary role is to establish a code of
practice with Social Media then to act as an enforcement agency. There
is no suggestion that the regulator decides on what is to be enforced.

My take on all this is that regulation to stop harmful internet
content being seen in NZ will not be possible because any attempt to
do this will result in the widespread use of virtual networks which
    circumvents geo-location of users.

The race based control is another proposal in the pipeline apparently. I still feel the proposal I highlighted here is going over the top!
