Personally I think he over-estimates the impact of the Kiri Allan
incident will have. It is increasingly clear though that the current government is imploding, and that former PM Ardern has left a legacy
of a single-party government that never had the leadership and
organisational discipline needed to succeed. PM Hipkins does not have
the time to turn this around - the election is upon us so it is far
too late for party reformation.

National went through quite a few years of leadership vacuum and
turmoil but this is now well in the past. The best we can hope for is
that a National/ACT government goes well (repealing the Water reforms legislation etc.) while Labour reforms in the coming years in
opposition.
