Well I guess it was optomism on the PM to promote Kiri into the justice
minister, with some optomism from Kiri.

Being in Government is stressfull, and a being a minister more so.

David Seymour's comments on the situation sums it up rather well.

"Hipkins has a lot to answer for," he said. "They were clearly not
    taking the issue seriously."

Massive fail by Chipkins and the Labour Party. They failed to support and >monitor their MP who was clearly not up to it and should not have been brought >back to the bearpit.

As to Damian O'Connor's comment "Shit Happens"... unbelievable. That there's a >sacking as well. "Shit happens"... ffs.

Labour are a rabble and it is getting towards the point where the Governor >General would be reading up on what's involved in dissolving the government and
    bringing the election forward.

I agree, Tony - there are no grounds for any such action.
    I didn't say that.

Kiri Allan has been through two relationship break-downs - the second
less than a month ago; and it is never easy to know when someone has >sufficiently regained equilibrium following such events.
She was allowed back far too soon, anybody who has managed people with this sort of problem would know that.
She ws very badly managed. Your comments show that also.

    It is easy
for Seymour to criticise - despite promoting so-called libertarian
views he still runs a remarkably authoritarian organisation - it is
only recently that ACT's Deputy Leader Brooke Van Velden has been
able to make any public statements - none of the 8 ACT members of
parliament appear expected to say anything other than repeat
    statements from The Leader . . .
Totally off topic but it is no surprise that you use the pain that Kiri is experiencing to make a political point. Shame on you.

We have yet to hear whether Kiri Allan will be the candidate for
Labour in the East Coast electorate again, but that must be in doubt.
