The public service headcount has increased by 28% since 2017. Tax take from individuals has risen from $33.2b to $51.4b in that time.

Despite this gouging of taxpayers who are struggling with cost of living already, the health and crime and living affordability have got worse.

That's Labour for you: take away your money, make you poorer, and make your health and security worse.

The election can't come soon enough so we can toss out these fuckwits before they do any more harm to New Zealanders.

Funny how during a cost of living crisis the government is helping make it worse by reinstating their gouging of families by letting energy prices climb by letting energy companies remove incentives to pay quickly and putting the government gouge back
into petrol that'll push up prices in supermarkets while giving them an excuse to attack them!

Do you have cite for those assertions, John? The increased tax take
must come from increases in profits and/or individual earnings as tax
rates have not changed - that is really an excellent result do you not
    agree.

Despite this gouging of taxpayers who are struggling with cost of living already, the health and crime and living affordability have got worse.
Despite your referring to gouging, New Zealand was ranked third in the
lowest tax regimes in the world in a survey I recently posted - are
you advocating that we go for the lowest taxes in the world?

Most of the world has worse health results than pre-Covid - our
experience regarding Covid was better than almost every other country
    - can you show that we have worse health outcomes than in 2017
otherwise? I accept that health outcomes have not improved as much as
we would like, but our health system had been badly run down, and then
we have had Covid and natural disasters that increased real demand.

That's Labour for you: take away your money, make you poorer, and make your health and security worse.
Higher tax take with no change in rates shows that they have not made
people in general poorer - what are you talking about?

The election can't come soon enough so we can toss out these fuckwits before they do any more harm to New Zealanders.
Who are you to call anyone else a fuckwit? Clearly you have nothing
substantive to say, and just resort to abusing others.

That is a sentiment that most people can agree on - it is a choice
between a government that cares about people, and a government that
thinks lower taxes for the wealthy is more important.

How do you believe the government should do that? These are listed
companies that have a responsibility to maximise profits! I agree that
the structure is not ideal, but blame that on Max Bradford and the
National government that sold the companies at far less than they were
worth - the sell-off was supposed to reduce prices; instead it
increased them! The National Party are carefully not raising these
issues . . . they realise that fixing the problem will be expensive -
they would rather lower the top tax rate . . .

Still too dumb to google it yourself, Dickbot?

"The public sector employed around 448,200 people in 2022, 18.7% of New Zealand's total workforce (2,393,400)"

    https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/research-and-data/workforce-data-public-sector-composition/workforce-data-workforce-size/#:~:text=The%20public%20sector%20employed%20around,in%20local%20government%20(53%2C200).

"The New Zealand public sector employed around 348,000 people (known as public servants) as at 30 June 2017, about 13.8% of the country's total workforce"

    https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/assets/DirectoryFile/Public-Service-Workforce-Data-2017.pdf

That's 28%. Need help doing the math, Dumbo?

Public "service" % of workforce under Labour has increased from 13.8% to 18.7%. So may pen pushers occupying so much office space, inventing new Maori names for everything, sucking up so much money and delivering a NZ that is measurably so much worse in
    affordability, crime, education and health.

The reason for the increase in tax revenue, Dumbo, include inflation and bracket creep. Do you even know what those are?
