Rich you really are stopping down low in your need for anti-National >rhetoric. Those tweets were pointless and facile but they seem to be
the only way you can continue.

Why not head over to Facebook and 'like' Shane Jones? Shane is in
full campaign mode there and you can get your fill of material that
makes those tweets about Mitchel look like a Sermon on Sunday. Don't
bring them back here though - Shane is not a National candidate.

So what is he is not a National candidate? nz.general is not only
    about the National Party!

I suspect NZ First will not get enough votes to meet the threshold, so
will get no MPs. They may get enough if we had done away with the
threshold however; I believe such a result would be inherently unfair.
I presume Winston is first on their list - if he is back by himself he
will be irrelevant - which may be just what he is looking for!

Love to see NZF get in but not be needed in a NAT/ACT coalition. They could be allowed into a coalition style agreement but not be relied on. Then they could farm them any policies that are too hot to handle, in particular Maori stuff such as getting rid
of this irrational fetish of giving everything a Maori name.

Plus giving Jones a bauble but not Winston would be priceless. Winston can never, ever be forgiven for what he did in 2017. Never.

NZF have rejected Labour in a fit of spite masquerading as righteous indignation about the He Puapua report that NZF never knew about when
in coalition with Labour. Any post election negotiations with
National will only involve Winston so any baubles he secures will be
his to give to any other NZF MP.

Yeah I know about Labour. I'm saying it would be fun if the Nats entertained an arrangement with NZF without actually needing them. National (Luxon) would appoint the ministers, not Winston. It would be entirely their call to give one to Jones but not
Winston and there's nothing Winston could do about it. Revenge.

So far, a minor party has only ever got Ministers inside cabinet if
there is a coalition agreement. In these circumstances the major
party offers specific ministerial positions (only) to the minor party
as part of the negotiations on a coalition agreement. The negotiator
for the minor party is always its Parliamentary leader. Who gets the
minor party Ministerial portfolios is decided entirely by the minor
    party.

Rationally, National would never have NZF as a part of the government
unless this was critical to them forming a government. The notion
that Winston would permit National to offer Jones (or any other NZF
MP) a ministerial appointment would never be tolerated by Winston.
