Online Services and Media Platforms - a discussion document.

This is from the Departmant of Internal Affairs (The Government)

    From the snap shot section

"This discussion document suggests a solution that introduces more robust consumer
protection measures that protects New Zealanders while maintaining the existing freedoms we enjoy."

All good and warm and fuzzy.

As this is 90 pages the good detail, powerful nutty stuff us bound to be at
the end after many have given up reading.

Submissions close by 31 July 2023.

This whole matter as so many aspects that really it can do nothing but turn into a no win situation as things become bogged down.

"There have been well-documented cases where young people have been seriously harmed by distressing material that has been actively recommended to them
    by platforms."

No, it is the humans/people on the plaform ahich are doing the
reccomdations, to the platform. Do are crash themselves? Hint No, it is the driver.

" (In this discussion document we use the word ‘platforms’ to refer
to providers of content and services – for example, social media companies or broadcasters.)"

So this must also include the Government media output. Techinally all
    providers provide content or services.

Anyhow this matter is worth while responding to. A million plus responses
might leave it dead on the road side.
