It makes me very angry when we have an incompetent government, there is no excuse for it. All they have to do is look to the officials and follow some sound advice. But no, they become greedy, they lie and then they lie some more.

Bob Jones is not a politician - I have seen no evidence that any of
his rant has any truth whatsoever.
I did not say Bob Jones was a politician. Do stay on topic.
It is not a rant, only you would believe it was.

I haven't seen what the IMF say - do you have a link to that report?

We do have lower government debt than many other coutries, but our
level of private international debt (individuals and companies) is
apparently high enough to cause concern - do you have any views on how
those levels could be reduced? Another concern is the high level of
overseas ownership of many of our large companies - again I cannot see
that being resolved quickly, as 'selling off the silver' is a
preferred option of one party hopeful of getting back into government
    . . .

Whoa not the Greens again, yes that makes sense. I see it now.
Our results are apppalling, when will you concede that?

The Greens are not the party that sold off our rail, electricity
companies, and allowed the sale of many others . . .

Just following your lead, Tony - but thanks for your acknowledgement
that your comment about the Greens was off topic.

Tony, Sir Bob does not actually identify the IMF report he references.
Looking at the IMF website, the most recent report on NZ was done in
October last year and none of them reference 'Current Account Ratings'
    that Sir Bob refers to:

    https://www.imf.org/en/Countries/NZL#countrydata

It is impossible to adjudge the accuracy of Sir Bobs opinions without
being able to read the original report he is commenting on.
