  • Good Listening

    I was travelling recently and while driving listened to a podcast
    series, which I recommend:

    It covers some events from the history of the USA that may not be well
    known in either the USA or New Zealand. It is an interesting
    commentary on the politics of the day, and should make us thankful
    that while we do have some extremists, they are unlikely to ever wield
    the power they achieved in the USA all those years ago.

    Rachel Maddow, seriously? Do you know that in a recent trial for
    defamation, Maddow's lawyer, in her defense, argued that Maddow's show
    was one of "quintessential statements of rhetorical hyperbole,
    incapable of being proved true or false."

    I haven't watched her show, so do not have an opinion on it.
