• Fiscal drag on tax brackets

From Gordon@21:1/5 to All on Wed Apr 19 22:10:26 2023
This has been a decades old problem and it still is here with us tax payers.

The same relative amount of tax should be collected. This does not happen
when the tax brackets stay the same as inflation rages. It is only logical
and fair to adjust the tax brackets on a regular basis.

Long recognised but never fixed by both Labour and National
governments, both of which prefer to continue with increased taxation
    caused by income inflation.

Correct. ACT is the only hope for bracket indexation.
