    It was and is a bloody dog! Supposedly it was supposed to ease the congestion on Auckland roads from what I've seen it's going to take Auckland back to the days of the trams which caused congestion which is why they got canned from NZ city's! Before Rich
    starts burbling about Melbourne he needs to compare the two streeting systems. Melbourne has wider streets unlike Auckland! The best bet would be use all the tunneling machines under Auckland to put a train tunnel through to the airport if they really
    need it!

    They were canned in Auckland not because of congestion but because the
    system was rundown during WW2 and the council didn't have the money to
    upgrade it like Melbourne and Europe did.
