• Posting history in nz.general over the years

From Crash@21:1/5 to All on Tue Feb 21 20:17:04 2023
Interesting to look back with Google groups to posts in nz.general and nz.politics. Rich80105 first posted in nz.general is August 14th
2012. There are many other posters long gone - Patrick Fitzgerald,
enkidu, peterwin, geopelia, EMB, Roger Dewhurst, Newsman, Greybeard to
name just a few. JohnO, Tony (a surprise - I thought he appeared more
recently than 2012) and myself are still here. Apologies if I have
missed anyone - I had to search by author to keep the results counts manageable.

I used to think that although Rich always was a Labour supporter he
was a bit more tolerant back then. Certainly not in 2012-2013

Perhaps Google Groups does not go back further than 2012 - certainly I
was posting to nz.general when David Farrar was posting, and when
David Hamer (?) was posting a weekly summary of New Zealand news for
those overseas. I can;t remember when nz.general started, but from
memory it would be around 1985 to 1988. I think I posted under a
different name until the mid-1990s - I remember following the news
summaries when in England in the early 2000's. Politics has become
more adversary focussed in recent years as the influence of Trumpisms
and dirty tricks became evident; with the lack of any shame from those responsible.

nz.general had been going before Google Groups started. Google started

"4 September 1998, Menlo Park, California, United States
In August 1998, Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote Larry and Sergey
a check for $100,000, and Google Inc. was officially born.4/09/1998"

    Also

"Google Groups became operational in February 2001, following Google's acquisition of Deja's Usenet archive. Deja News had been operational
since March 1995. Google Groups allows any user to freely conduct
and access threaded discussions, via either a web interface or e-mail."

My memory agrees with these dates.

Indeed, Labour included. It is the world we are going through.

Still here....... never been a prolific poster, but read ng most days.

My first posts on newsgroups would been mid to late 1980s. I worked in
IT and newsgroups were widely used to share and pass information.
Still use a couple of those dedicated ng's. I use a linux flavour OS,
which has a large and knowledgable user base and very good resource for
    problem solving, info sharing.

I thought "Newsman" morphed into "James Christophers", the language
    seemed from the same source.

"George Black" became "george" in later posts.

Been a while for "Willy Nilly"

never forgotten Patrick F. Just loved....

POO YOU LIAR, POO YOU LIE, and his admiration of Nobel Prize winners.

Trumpism included the work by Cambridge Analytica that directed
messages to influence different groups in different ways - it was the
start of the use of social media data to identify 'susceptabilities'
of particular targets. National's "Dirty Tricks" was less

I acknowledge your acceptance that Trumpism covers deceptive
practices. You assertion that I lie is offensive - you are not
justified in making that assertion. You frequently claim that any
poster who does not agree with you is lying, but you seldom give any
reasons for such assertions, and when you do you are not prepared to consider any other point of view. You are a rogue poster that deserves
    the contempt of all.
It's Richisms and Labour policy that covers deceptive practices and the more you ignore and deny it the more stupid you look Rich! If you are offended at being called a liar stop lying Rich! It doesn't help your case when so many of your claims (as is
your current claim) are just stupid and obvious lies Rich! Funny how you the rogue poster as usual see your own behaviour in others Rich. It's called hypocrisy and is rampant in you and your Labour/Green commissars!

Something I have never denied. So why wopuld you write that silliness?
You assertion that I lie is offensive - you are not

Many times I have justified it, recently you deliberate lies about governance versus management is on point.
    You frequently claim that any

Untrue, it is always you - does that ring a tiny bell in your tiny brain?

I always consider other points of view, trouble is you never give any that are not politcal rhetoric - you are the problem not the solution.

You are pathetic - a repeat liar, a political animal with no humanity and worst of all you don't even begin to understand your sub human traits. You are sick or evil, perhaps both.

Steve Withers. If you had been around here all this time you would kno who he is.
