I was surpised that he so baldly rejected a key policy of the previus National Governments, when co-governance was supported by both John
Key and Bill English throgh Treaty settlements,
and when so many local
authorities decided to institute Maori Wards in their Councils.
Key
and English have been fairly quiet about their views, but Chris
Finlayson has been outspoken about the value of bringing all
communities into involvement with the ongoing work of complex
community management issues. It is as if Luxon has fallen for the
perception that a National Leader needs no-one else to make decisions
- at the end of the day they are a one-man band with acolytes - that
is how National runs . . . perhaps their attitudes to Ardern were
influenced by their disappointment with Shipley and Collins as leaders
as well . . .

Dickbot just keeps on lying. National supported co-management of local assets -
for example Tuhoe. They have never supported co-governance of national public services such as health or water assets.

Rubbish! You've had this lie shot down so often it's incapable of flying Rich. Do you keep pushing this bullshit because you hope people will finally believe you or are you just to bloody stupid to understand nobody else believes you?!Yet again you fail to make any case - of course every government
inherits the policy work done under the previous government, and uses
that. Take Health for example - National cannot cticise the current government for spending on health - after all they starved the sector
for 9 years and were severely embarrassed when so many problems became
known to the public with the new government, but they are not
promising to continue a higher level of funding; their only gripe is
that Labour want to involve a wider group of people in some delivery
issues. Luxon wants to put more money into private hands through 'for profit' service providers; Labour want to have a more diverse group
involved in the planning of delivery to improve services to everyone,
and to train more medical staff to deliver those services. National
want to put money into the hands of business owners, Labour want to
provide a service that meets our diverse needs regardless of
background. But the work done by one government in identiying needs
will not all be lost with a change of government. You really are very
naive . . .
