It's a system that had to be rushed through as quickly as possible to
deal with a health crisis. It's no wonder it had problems, and
surprising it didn't have way more. There simply wasn't time for all
the usual nonsense and massively over-paid "think tank experts" to
    discuss the problem endlessly.

No matter what a few selfish twits and conspiracy nutters like to
believe, MIQ, lockdowns, and vaccinations *did* save lives. Just be
damn tahnkful you didn't live in a slow-reacting country where hundreds
of thousands or miliions of people dided while their government
    pondered and plodded along.
We do live in a slow reacting country! It took Ardern two fucking weeks and a conversation with friends in the UK to instigate the shutdown. Then it took another month plus to finalise what was to happen. Meanwhile DJ got in ahead of New Zealanders
trying to get home for various reasons! It was just another Labour cluster fuck!

Best news New Zealand has heard for a while is Ardern is gone!

We're talking about the Ombudsman's determination that the government overstepped its authority and denied citizens their rights. Or are you lumping the Ombudsman in with the other targets of your sneering contempt? There is no excuse, despite your
attempt to make them, to deny New Zealanders the right to return home, to deny New Zealanders to be with their loved ones who might be dying, marrying, giving birth and all sorts of other life changing events. Yet at the same time, this government was
allowing in all sorts of DJ's, artists, sportspeople and other unnecessary types. Simply appalling.
