    In 2016 NZ consumed 2,469,000 tonnes. So that is about 0.5t/person.

    Pretty good considering Ardern killed the search for gas and Huntly can use both gas and coal. Gas is a far better choice than coal, especially when it's crap coal from Indonesia and we have top quality coal here in NZ just lying in the ground...
