It certainly seems we need more police. Working in and attending ED is stressful enough without this behaviour.

The effects of this government's woke prisoner love is obviously going to put the police under pressure - how could it not?

This is a repeated old story from before Christmas. Police did
subsequently attend and did not allow some gang members entry to the hospital. That said, it is possible that more police would be useful
    - but it does take some time from recruitment to trained officers;
that is why we are still seeing shortages from time to time.
cite required Rich. Looking at the latest report the police were NOT called! So guess without a cite from you it's just another lie from you to try and make your useless government look like they actually care!

I suspect the significant increase has been about right, but some are
still just newly through initial training. Not the next challenge is
to keep training enough new Officers to keep up about the same
    percentage of the population.

If the police are not called then the initial conclusion that we need
more police is not necessarily true - we just need the police to be
called more promptly (they were called because it was reported that
they had helped keep gang members out of the hospital). Try reading
previous posts, John, it may bring you to better knowledge before you
hit the keyboard without thinking . . .

Where I live there is not a single police officerstationed in my town at night. The nearest manned station is 30 minutes away. Five years ago there was an officer stationed in town.
You said any shortages are because of training times - support that with evidence.

The trouble with Richie's 'facts' is he as usual is lying to support a useless government who have only managed to stay level with attrition in the police force. Attrition has been even higher since last years protest at parliament I've been told by a
senior civilian employer of the police. Attrition is one of those inconvenient facts Rich is quite happy to ignore in his desperate and stupid support of a useless government...

Here in Upper Hutt the station is unmanned at night and on weekends. Hell they had to use trainees to make up the numbers to police the protests. More inconvenient 'facts'for the ever more desperate Rich and his communist crony's in Labour!
