I owned a car in this flick of Auckland's recent demolition derby, it got sixth out of two hundred cars. I'd like to save it for sentimental reasons, you know, seeing it's last gasp!

If you're using Firefox, just get the free YouTube Video & Audio
Downloader add-on. It works a treat. You just have to click a button to
get any YouTube video you're watching downloaded to your PC.

I'm assuming that David Harvey is either reporting back to Joy or has told
her to check for replies here rather than where he copied the post from? Replies haven't been set to go to a different group.

Remains relevant, as as Google swallow everything up they do their best
to make it difficult to do what you want, presumably so that you remain advert-fodder.

Yep. My favourite youtube downloaders 'download' button vanished when I
updated Firefox a few weeks back. I can still use a different one but it's
    not as user-friendly.

Cheers Shaun. Yes, I see things have been a little quiet in here.

Tho' unlikely Joy will get much "joy" out of the post (presumably
having fixed her issue way back when ;-)

I do wonder tho', if GG random posters ever get to see followups to
their own posts. Some will I know, but the casual web fly-by, perhaps
    not.

Just use free online video grabbers.

KeepVid.com works with most YouTube videos, and many other sites. http://keepvid.com

For the few that don't work there (usually region-locked ones), I've
used Convert2mp3.com, which depsite the name does do movies as well as
    sound.
