Can i make this the default in TB ? (Ascending, Descending) ?

in other words, Can i specify (Sort-by) Descending for all the Groups?

In Thunderbird, you can add an X-Face header to your messages, but you
won't be able to display X-Faces.

There was an extension called Mnenhy that added this functionality to
TB, but it has stopped working for a long time. It can still be used in SeaMonkey though.

For those interested, here is the last known version of Mnenhy:

You'd think if TB was going to allow the option to add an x-face to
headers they'd at least have an option to display them!

X-Face is not a special option, it's just a header field. Thus, any
newsreader managing custom header fields can add an X-Face to a message.

However, displaying the X-Faces requires a bit of programming to convert
the contents of the header field into an image, and this has not been implemented in Thunderbird.

There are 2 (?) sample Xface files here, and DV (God Willing) i'll see the images soon.

That is to be expected. There is a size limit on posts sent out from my servers, and servers may filter out messages with attachments. Don't expect mmessages with attachments to be seen by everyone.

please don't post binary here. BTW, that's not an x-face. Gmail has its

TB doesn't support natively Faces/X-Faces, but I can remember people
getting and decoding header's content with Autoit, then visualizing it
with an always on top, transparent viewer app. maybe some scripting guy
is reading here, and willing to help.

adding an X-Face header is easy on any given NR i believe.

Exactly. The header is easy, decoding and displaying is what takes work.

Yes, it does. That's how I do it in my web interface software. I just mean
that the code is easy to write to allow a user to populate a new header
with a string, but it takes more work (in the code) to decode the string
    and display the x-face.

    Yeah.
I will say tho, this xface was a pain to set up because I had to
escape a ton of % and \ chars to get it to send properly.
