  • [slrn] Retrieving descriptions auth failure

    Running slrn -d gives me this message:

    slrn fatal error:
    Authorization needed, but could not determine username / password.

    It never asks for my username/password.

    I guess you need to add an nnrpaccess line, it's something like:

    nnrpaccess "snews://nntp.server.com" "youruser" "yourpass"

    Check your .slrnrc file to make sure that the newserver name/address
    ,your username and password are in the access line.
