• FAQ posting automation software

From Henning Hucke@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jan 19 05:39:21 2021
    Hello still usenet news users,

I know of "post-faq" which was part of the debian suite to post FAQs
into the usenet. But on one hand its not too modern anymore and on the
    other hand lacks some functionalities.

Could you please give me some pointers to alternative software systems
    for the same purpose?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Henning

I wrote my own eons ago because I didn't like auto-faq and wanted
something a lot simpler, and I still use it, but I'm not sure it's any
more modern or has the functionality that you want.

thanks for the pointer. I had a look on it.

Your solutions is IMHO a good thing for posting a few FAQs from
    an individual user account.

What I like with "post-faq" is the list which specifies the FAQ files
and the necessary parameters for them.
What I don't like is that the configuration file is also used as the
status database - meaning that the config file itself changes its state
which makes version control difficult - and that there are only a few
not too helpfull substitution strings / placeholders available.

Anyway... I think I'll pumpup "post-faq" itself, possibly write my own
    program.
