    Hi all,

ALPN identifiers for NNTP have just been registered by IANA:

    https://www.iana.org/assignments/tls-extensiontype-values/tls-extensiontype-values.xhtml#alpn-protocol-ids

    NNTP (reading) 0x6E 0x6E 0x74 0x70 ("nntp") [RFC3977]
    NNTP (transit) 0x6E 0x6E 0x73 0x70 ("nnsp") [RFC3977]

The Application-Layer Protocol Negotiation (ALPN) is a TLS extension
defined in RFC 7301. It permits multi-protocols for instance on the
HTTPS port. I've seen that sslh (a ssl/ssh multiplexer) makes use of
ALPN, so it can be used to share an NNTP connection on the same port as
    other services.

Just to let you know of that for use in news readers and servers.
