Hi Seth,
I read the man pages for distribs and even looked at the sample file. Can someone give me more info about distribs.pats Are they a way to split messages into categorys ore are they just a sortting method?
I was looking at the example in distribs.pats
10:local.*:local
If you have this line in your distrib.pats file, every article posted
via your news server to a newsgroup in the local.* hierarchy will have a "Distribution: local" header field added by nnrpd, if not already present.
It permits having rules using distributions for your outgoing feeds (for instance adding an exclusion for the !local distribution), or other
servers having rules rejecting articles with a local distribution.
