Was wondering what you guys use your servers for? I generaly just use
mine for playing around with the crazy concepts in communication that I
like to learn about. I was born after the BBS and usenet days so never
got to see this stuff in its hayday.

Ping test who is seeing this seth m 26 usa.

I got into Usenet a short while ago largely just because Thunderbird
happens to support NNTP and I want to use /all/ its features in some
way. It's good to see that while it's way past its heyday, it's not
    completely dead.

rec.games.roguelike.nethack is a nice read IMO. Maybe I should actually
play NetHack and not just watch people talk about NH?

I never got into Nethack, but I still play Angband from time to time, and
it's still a great game if one doesn't mind the near-total lack of modern graphics. (Still moderating rec.games.roguelike.announce after all these years.)

Please post questions rather than mailing me directly.
    <https://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/faqs/questions.html> explains why.

There's also Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, available locally and on servers, sometimes with more modern graphics, oft times not.

That is some dedication, Russ, salut!
