I would have agreed you this morning except that I was pleased to find the the reply has
most of the features readnews has had all along. It is not a blog reply to a USNET feed. Now, I do not know if Google changes the rules if you try and start new group. It might. I would object to that, so what is your gripe exactly. The only issue for me
is that I need a larger font and haven't figured that out yet.

Don't worry about fonts. Use plain text. Works everywhere.

You might want to worry about remembering to read the date of an article (message) to which you are replying.

And finding an NNTP news server so you are not confused by Google Group's attempt at Usenet.

Here's a good one, and it is free: http://www.eternal-september.org

When a person has -- whether they knew it or not -- already
rejected the Truth, by what means do they discern a lie?

I found a bug in Google Groups and it is a showstopper, my God only after less than a day of use. I wanted to reply to John Morse' post for not quoting from the original, but I can't quote his post using Google Groups reply. It only allows me to post to
the head of the thread. The USENET newsreader let me reply to any post in the thread. This need to be fixed ASAP.
