  • Which hierarchies will generate new keys?

    Hi all,

    Maybe we should coordinate our efforts to update at the same time all
    the keys that should be (so that news admins do the work only once).
    Which hierarchies are willing to do that in the next months?

    Here is the list of the hierarchies that have sent checkgroups messages
    since about a decade:

    - Big-Eight
    - fr
    - uk?
    - de?
    - bln?
    - hun?
    - ba?
    - it?
    - linux?
    - ffm?
    - openwatcom?
    - ka?
    - z-netz?
    - belwue?
    - fido7?
    - rocksolid? (key imported fine with current GnuPG)
    - hr? (key imported fine with current GnuPG)
    - nl? (key imported fine with current GnuPG)
    - us? (key imported fine with current GnuPG)
    - grisbi? (key imported fine with current GnuPG)

    Of course, other hierarchies not listed could also be "revived" :)

    I'm no longer involved with hr.* hierarchy maintenance, but to the best of
    my knowledge and experiences it's been on autopilot last few years, so I'd wager it's unlikely any work on it would be forthcoming...
    (I'd love to be proven wrong, of course!)

    I was just listing the hierarchies still sending checkgroups control
    articles.
    Current versions of GnuPG import fine your key generated in 2008. I
    don't think there's a reason to change it now. But nobody knows when it
    will be time!

    Yes. MD5 signatures are no longer supported at the public key servers.

    Yes, uk.* is still active (though I should probably post checkgroups
    more often) and our group list does still change sometimes.
