  • Removal of a few linux.* newsgroups?

    Hi all,

    On Thursday 26th a few newsgroups in the linux.* hierarchy were removed (automatically) in the news.individual.net news server:

    Mar 26 19:49:04 lucia innd: ctlinnd command p:linux.debian.announce
    Mar 26 19:49:06 lucia innd: SERVER rmgroup linux.debian.announce

    Mar 26 19:52:06 lucia innd: ctlinnd command p:linux.debian.announce.devel
    Mar 26 19:52:07 lucia innd: SERVER rmgroup linux.debian.announce.devel

    Mar 26 19:55:07 lucia innd: ctlinnd command p:linux.debian.announce.security Mar 26 19:55:08 lucia innd: SERVER rmgroup linux.debian.announce.security


    A checkgroups for linux.* was sent at that time.
    Yet, these newsgroups are present in the checkgroups and therefore
    should not have been removed.
    Have other people seen these newsgroups being removed in their own news
    server?

    I feared it might be a bug affecting other news servers too.
