• Anyone heard from Jesse Rehmer?

From Nigel Reed@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jun 26 14:04:41 2024
We would chat on a regular basis via email then discord and he seems to
have disappeared off the face of the earth. His blueworld nntp host is
still up and running...Just wondered if anyone heard anything.

I sent him an email just a month ago, in particular to request an
account on his server, and I did not receive a response, which worried
    me too.

Well, I did a search for Jesse Rehmer obituary and nothing comes up so
    that's a good sign :)

No necessarily. He must have died and nobody has found him missing or
that his family members didn't bother to advertise his death. Don't make assumptions. You might remember that Bruce of Ripco.com died but it was
not advertised anywhere. Even Paulo of AIOE.org is missing for sometime
and nobody knows for sure whether he is alive or dead.

While we're at it, did you get my response to your email (the one about
servers that need fixing)? It bounced (Hotmail for some reason doesn't
like my SMTP server's IP), I sent you another from another From and SMTP
server (with Subject: news.chmurka.net, Date: Sat, 6 Jul 2024 00:55:19

I hate Microsoft with a passion! I didn't get the response. You can
send to sysop@endofthelinebbs.com and maybe CC nigel@sysadmininc.com - hopefully one of those two will go through. Thanks.

Ok, I saved these addresses for future use. The response was just to say
that I made appropriate changes on news.chmurka.net and peering works
    again.
