*Google Groups ending support for Usenet*
If you work with Usenet groups in Google Groups, support for these
groups is ending soon.

*What’s changing?*

Starting on February 22, 2024, you can no longer use Google Groups (at groups.google.com) to post content to Usenet groups, subscribe to
Usenet groups, or view new Usenet content. You can continue to view
and search for historical Usenet content posted before February 22,
2024 on Google Groups.

In addition, Google’s Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) server and associated peering will no longer be available, meaning Google will
not support serving new Usenet content or exchanging content with
other NNTP servers. […]

Well another part of the usenet, even if not really usenet, is about to
be shoved out of the internet.

Return of something "Deja-news like" is quite likely IMHO.
[ Text-usenet oriented search engine ]
AFAIR Google bought Deja-news *and destroyed it*.

Many news servers keep big/old archives. It seems to be possible to
develop it with keeping amount of unreturned investment quite low.

What exactly did people achieve by crying about google Groups? If
they were crying about spam from google Groups then all they needed
to do was to block EVERYTHING from google groups. what was the point
of destroying Google Groups that was used by vast majority of
people. NOW THEY WON'T GET ANY SPAM from February 2024 but they have
also denied the majority of people from having an archive that was
searchable for years to come. People who were using Google Groups
couldn't care less about news-servers that is heavily censored. They
liked Google Groups because nothing was censored on it. News-servers
run by hobbyists and enthusiasts are here today gone tomorrow while
Google Groups would have been here for years to come.

Now they can just sit tight and masturbate because they won't have
people using their servers.
Neo-Nazis, Mussolini's, people of low intelligence, people suffering

All the filters created by people from banana republic can now be
removed as they won't be needed. I guess they can still filter out
Ukraine supporting people and allow posts promoting genocide in
Palestine. You mother fuckers will be hunted down by Ukrainians and
dealt with according to the laws of warfare.
