What, 15 MB video embedded in a spam mail? Lucky you, I only get boring
    text spam. ;-)

Some are quite "interesting" though. Lots of old email addresses showed
up the first time in my spam (I collect those which are well known on a
web search and at least six months old). Most are Gmail addresses since
mugus found out Google doesn't care.

Gmail is broken itself. When I updated a browser or use one I didn't used before I get a legit (!) login warning from Google, says there is nothing
to do from my site. But with a warning on top of the mail, than Google
couldn't verify it was really send (it was!) by Google. *LOL*

Today a Nigerian scam ("Freelancer work, flexible hours...") via Seznam.cz including a Seznam.cz address, though slipped through. I reported them
via Spamcop and a few days later their account is a smoking crater. Some
    abuse desks still work... :-)

I receive a lot of "security alerts" from gmail about my own IMAP logins.
It is far too many to treat Google "professionalism" seriously.
IMHO it looks like a simple minded the least resistance path.

Yep. But the same with Microsoft, Yahoo (which is the same company IIRC)
and probably many others. Can't take any serious these days. But I have accounts with them since decades. I could just use the server for my own
domain and be my own boss, but too many people use my other email addresses.

They have nuked that repeat spammer with evey time a new gmail address
    now completely.
My library had once sent me unsolicited promotional email.
I marked it a spam and because more people did it all their mail
    now end in spamfolfers >:-)
