    Not sure that the stats for any single group say anything about Usenet
    as a whole, but the stats for this group sure do say that this group
    has been steadily shrinking over the past 20 years. Ten articles in a
    month? And 5 of those the weekly Spamcop report? Seriously?

    Does Usenet need Yads posting this crap to every single newsgroup to
    inflate his own poast count to be informed of the obvious?

    Does real life need Yads under any circumstances?

    Not sure that the stats for any single group say anything about Usenet
    as a whole, but the stats for this group sure do say that this group
    has been steadily shrinking over the past 20 years. Ten articles in a
    month? And 5 of those the weekly Spamcop report? Seriously?

    Does Usenet need Yads posting this crap to every single newsgroup to
    inflate his own poast count to be informed of the obvious?

    Usenet does not need these monthly summaries. Judging by the
    followups, in various groups, they are also quite undesirable.

    Based on the definition of spam, provided in the Current Usenet spam
    thresholds and guidelines FAQ, http://wiki.killfile.org/projects/usenet/faqs/spam/ , Dave Yadallee's
    XanaNews Statistic posts might very well be construed as spam, which
    is minimally customized on a per newsgroups basis.

    <quote>
    "Substantively identical" means that the material in each article is sufficiently similar to construe the same message. The signature is
    included in the determination. These are examples of substantively
    identical articles:

    [...]
    - otherwise identical postings minimally customized for
    each group it appears in.
    [...]
    </quote>

    To my mind, one of the more negative aspects of Dave's post-count spam
    is the effect upon some members of the great unwashed masses, who seem
    to be misled into believing posting volume is a contest. These are
    most easily identified by followups declaring, "I win!"

    Does real life need Yads under any circumstances?

    That seems to be a germane question.

    Read the sig and understand what it says.

    You know, Dave, I've been reading your .sig for years, but cannot make
    heads from tails. Further, I cannot ascertain any connection between
    it and the subject of this discourse. It conveys little, beyond your willingness to wave your religiosity in the faces of others and
    promote your status as a social influencer in a MLM scheme.

    Again, we have an instance where you post one of your virtually
    trademark one line responses, to a nearly identically length article.

    Adam's article, to which you reply, was 2245 bytes. Your followup
    clocks in at 2624.

    2624
    - 2245
    ====
    379

    The signature, which you think answer some question posed, is 308
    characters, or eighty one percent (81%) of the 379 added characters.
    This compares to the forty one (41) characters of new content you
    actually manually added to the thread, which says nothing pertinent,
    beyond identifying you as a self promiting twat.

    My recommendations:

    1) Dave should cease papering Usenet with these unsolicited
    posting summaries.

    2) Dave should refrain from posting followups, until such time as
    he has something to contribute.

    3) Dave should continue to create these posting summaries, for his
    own edification and/or entertainment, but should keep them to
    himself.
