    at this writing, 36314 since midnight 1 Oct 2023 . . . not ten days yet;
    at this rate, well over **one hundred thousand** googlespams could flood
    the comp.lang.c newsgroup before the end of this month. . . world record?

    It would be a reasonable idea to block all google traffic to this
    group.
