    Windows Live Mail is not compatible with Windows 10.  Please use
    something else like Microsoft Outlook (Subscription is payable for this)
    or Mozilla Thunderbird - free email and news reader.  You can import
    your mails in these two apps.

    I have windows 10 on my other PC's and WLM functions correctly with Windows 10.

    Try this:

    Windows Live Email not displaying message body https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/all/windows-live-email-not-displaying-message-body/089f25e8-e2a0-4651-b077-86d5ef8f729b

    After updating to the Windows 10, version 2004 my windows live email will not display the body of any messages.
    However, messages prior to the update still will display the body of email messages.
    Any one have suggestions to a fix for this problem?
    can not send any email, either.

    Answer:

    Windows 10 Feature Update 2004 breaks Windows Live Mail (WLM), by corrupting the WLM account display if WLM contains several accounts.

    For example, WLM may be unable to open new messages in the Inbox.

    The following solution was posted by WLMUser2020, which involves editing or creating three registry entries (so ensure you have a reliable registry backup before proceeding):

    1. Close Windows Live Mail.

    2. In the Windows registry, open this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail

    3. Create these three DWORD entries in that key:

    RecreateFolderIndex = 1
    RecreateStreamIndex = 1
    RecreateUIDLIndex = 1

    4. Restart Windows Live Mail.

    Then the message display should be back to normal, and those 3 values in the registry should have reset themselves to 0 (and can be left like that).

    Awesome answer Gianni, solved it for me. Thank you. :)

    Interestingly, another PC which upgraded directly from 1909 to 20H2 did not experience the issue.
