Allen had a valve replacement, which caused his afib.  They used

    The worst thing now

I can see that that would be maddening.  Did they give odds on the brain building new pathways?  It's an amazing organ.

Hmm! Now that you mention 'Military', I think 'We' used 11/06/2017, i.e. numbers rather than words!

On the other hand, we used a 24hr clock, 00:01 till 23:59, and, as I was

Damn.  You will be a whole new man.  Grin.

    Looks good .. lost 45 lbx. :-)

Deliberately or as a side effect?  Inquiring minds...

Side effect after 2 heart surgaryson the same day.

Allen had a valve replacement, which caused his afib.  They used
amiodarone for a while, and then did an ablation, which cured it.
    They
gave me a picture!  Ain't surgery cool now?

    The worst thing now
is that speech is now about 50% effective due to advanced aphasia
which will be life long now.

I can see that that would be maddening.  Did they give odds on the
brain building new pathways?  It's an amazing organ.

The OK part is that the dogs already know what you're saying...

This thread did not look particularly encouraging.

I don't think I ever saw this.  Moreover, I can't find the original
now -- earliest I can see is 9/19/17.  I guess I need to go to
    <sniff> google groups...

Hmm!! Earliest I can see in this thread is a post be you, Bev, on 22nd
Dec 2019, which quotes a post from Jay made 6th Nov 2017.

Bugger Yanks and their backwards Dates!!

You have your Seamonkey set to English (US) and you blame "Yanks"?
English (UK) is also available and the date-format is one of the
    differences.
I think the date-and-time handling changed between 2.49.x and 2.53.x, Preferences -> Appearance, Date and Time Formatting. One of the sites I
visit uses some JavaScript function to output the date/time and the
formats changed from "dd mm yyyy" 24-hour hh:mm to "mm dd yyyy" hh:mm
am/pm when I installed the newer level. I had to change the
locale-settings at the OS-level to fix that.

The reminder application I use (System Scheduler 5.30) _does_ look at my locale-settings - but only looks to see if I have d before m. I actually
have yyyy-m-d, but SS gives me its dates in mm/dd/yyyy format )-:. [They obviously only know the two formats, not ISO.)
