Have UI refreshes typically been received well by users? Not IME, they're usually followed by a flurry of "what do I have to do to make it the same as it used to be?" questions ...
If the users turned off telemetry so Mozilla doesn't know what the usersare using in the browser.
Don't complain.

Is this down to Firefox repeatedly annoying the hell out of their
user-base with changes nobody had expected nor wanted? I see FF and
Safari (which is missing from that chart)Â were slugging it out for
months before FF dipped and Safari hopped in September.
I wonder what the the remaining 7.4% uses. Brave? Vivaldi? IE? Seamonkey!

Don't complain.
If you rely mostly on telemetry you are more than halfway there to
loose touch with your user base and that is one of the problems. And
if you use telemetry to justify ripping out parts power users rely on
you are going even further,

Power users are the minority. No?

They are but there are also the ones usually asked what software to
install or fix the problems. So loose them and you loose much more. Just
my 2 cents. ymmv
