S-Bahn accident near Munich: Two S-Bahn trains collided near Schäftlarn
    on Monday (February 14, 2022) at around 4:35 p.m.

One dead and many injured in the S-Bahn accident in the Munich district:
the police speak of a low, double-digit number of injuries and at least
    one death.

Eyewitnesses report strange driving behavior on the S-Bahn , which was coming from Munich in the direction of Wolfratshausen. It was stopped
    again and again."

    It is believed that

one of the trains had a SPAD while leaving the platform.
Driver overrided an automatic stop after coming to a halt without contacting the signaller although that is compulsory in such cases.

It is not know whether the automatic stop was caused by the 2000 Hz
system next to the exit signal itself or by too fast aproach to this signal after restarting after having passed a 500 Hz system that controls a 25
km/h maximum speed on close approach to a signal still on danger position.

The S-Bahn train running in the other direction and approaching the station
had the station entry signal okay but that switched to danger on the run
as the other train in the station violated the protected way either by SPAD either by passing the exit switch. So, the driver of the train approaching
the station activated braking and got to a stop about 50 metres after the
entry signal. He started a phone discussion with the signalman. The
pre-signal told the train would be allowed to enter the station, so there
    was no overspeed.

    Regards, ULF

So - if I understand this correctly - this train was at a stop when the
'SPAD' S-Bahn train ran into it?

    Cheers,

    Yes, indeed.
