Hi all,

"The Austrian railways are embarrassed. An order for new double-decker
trains from Stadler turns out to be invalid. The Swiss digital signature
does not appear to be valid in the EU.
Judge discovers blunder
The Austrian court has come to that conclusion , Der Standard reports .
The ruling follows an objection by Alstom to the award of the order to
Stadler. The objections that the French had, however, do not appear to
be the stumbling block. It was the judge himself who discovered the error.
Stadler had signed the [quotation] with a digital signature, but not
with the correct one because the Swiss version of the electronic
signature is not recognized in the EU. Although Switzerland is closely
linked to the EU through bilateral agreements, the digital signature
does not appear to be valid in Austria."
Cheers,
