Someone failed to file returns for a number of years, and lost the

There are different kinds of IRS transcripts. The W-2 and
1099 information is on a Wage and Income Transcript, not on
a Tax Return Transcript. But the Wage and Income Transcript
does not include the state information, such as state tax
withheld or, on a W-2, state wages.
You can get complete copies of the W-2s from the Social
Security Administration, but you have to pay for them if you
are not requesting them for a Social Security-related
