When I look at my 2020 return transcript at irs.gov
I see quasi-repeated lines. For example:
CAPITAL GAIN OR LOSS: (Schedule D):
CAPITAL GAIN OR LOSS: SCH D PER COMPUTER:
or
TOTAL INCOME:
TOTAL INCOME PER COMPUTER
what do those "per computer" lines mean?
(FWIW, this is an e-filed return.)

"Per computer" is the amount calculated by the IRS computers from the third-party documents the IRS received. It often is slightly less than the amount shown on the tax return because the IRS computers tend to truncate pennies and not round them.
