Minnesota has a higher per capita GDP than 33 other states (Mississippi, doncha know, is 50th — ha ha ha ha ha ha!) High taxes do not lead to prosperity — it's
the other way around. Prosperity generally leads to higher taxes. People in more
prosperous places (*not* Mississippi) are smarter, obviously, and they recognize
that certain functions in a prosperous, civilized society can only (or best) be done by government.
