QUORA: Is there anything in the U.S. Constitution that prevents the 3 branches of government, if a party has the majority of all three, from following partisan politics and bypassing all checks and balances?

I’m going to share with you a dirty secret we learn in political science. I’m not really supposed to say it, because it can freak people out, but here goes:
If everyone in power chooses to ignore the law, then laws become meaningless.
If you had Congress, the Executive Branch, and the Judiciary all in single-party, unitary cahoots to see done whatever the party wanted to be done, other laws be damned, then the only recourse at that point would be revolution. Appealing to the
Constitution would be a lost cause.
Or, as was put in the Declaration of Independence in 1776:
"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new
Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed
for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of
abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
But people don’t tend to like to think about that. Revolutions can be really messy.
