We are at the point where our only option to shield the front of our
house from our neighbor's halogen security light, the driveway lights,
the lights running all around his porch and the new lights he is planning
to put up is to put up reflectors or reflective material and send the
light back to him.
Can't talk to him. Our politely asking him to tilt his halogen security light down so it wouldn't shine in our bedroom window was met with even
more lights. Along with our other neighbor, we have restraining order against him to stop him from planting a fence across our driveway. One
day he just decided we didn't have rights to the access easement created
by the developer of our rural subdivision 26 years ago. We had to remove
the fence posts as he put them in and now have to spend thousands of
dollars to have a judge gives us what we already have. Now he is going
to bombard us with lights. No ordinances in our county against light pollution, though a new law disallows a dog's bark to cross your property line.
Black out shades will not allow us the pleasure of seeing the sun come up
in the morning, so we just want to reflect his light back to him. We
could really use some ideas on how to do this and what material might be
the most effective.
We used to live in the suburbs and never had any problems with our
neighbors. Now we have a bit over 2 acres in the mountains with the opportunity to see the stars in all their glory and we have a neighbor is afraid of bears, of the dark, and of any semblence of a good relationship with neighbors. He just wants power and revenge. We'd like to reflect
some of that power back to him.
Thanks for your help.
