I was offered a dump truck load of wood chips from a tree service
chopping up trees down the street. I spread it as a mulch over ~1/2 acre
area in my yard. Did this early summer and now I have dozens and dozens
of patches of what looks like mud igloos covering the unidentified wood >chips. I shook ~1/2 box of borax on the mounds and then stomped it into
the individual mounds. It did a good job in the past on ants and other
bugs when they invaded my garage, so you think it will work on outdoor >termites?

Yes, I think it would work. Give it a try and see.

Well, the test is underway. If they rebuild the little mud houses I
guess I may have to buy some real insecticide. I could also try to make
a liquid borax solution and spray it on. I may learn something.
