Music now costs $11 per month for individual plans (up from $10) in the US,
or $109 per year. The Family plan now costs $17 per month instead of $15.
TV+ sees the largest relative jump - the price has increased from $5 per
month to $7, and from $50 per year to $69.

Accordingly, Apple has hiked prices for its multi-service One bundles. You
now pay $17 per month for an Individual plan versus the earlier $15. Family users now pay $23 per month instead of $20, and Premier customers pay $33
per month where they previously paid $30.

That story said "The more expensive plans will let artists and writers earn more from streaming music, Apple claims."

How do these new prices compare to competitive offerings that don't let
    artists and writers earn more?

If you believe Apple hikes their prices every year to help the struggling musicians, ask Apple what the struggling developers have said about them.

You are trolling and trying to spread FUD.
Apple's statement is correct albeit not very smart.

...you're misinformed, because Apple doesn't hike their prices every

I suspect that Spotify, the main competitor to Apple Music, will also
raise prices. Spotify family plan is currently $15.99 per month, having
gone up from $14.99 in 2021. So Apple was cheaper than Spotify for a
while, now it will be slightly more expensive. But Apple Music doesn't
say that all family members need to be in the same location.

Note that you can get two "perks" free on US Mobile, including Apple
Music Family and Apple TV Plus. If you're considering changing mobile
carriers, and would otherwise be paying for stuff like Netflix, Spotify,
Hulu, etc., the US Mobile family plans are not a bad deal, about $140, including taxes and fees, for four lines with 50GB of prioritized data
per line (usable for hotspot as well). Subtracting out the value of two
perks, at around $15 each, that brings the cost per line down to about
$27. You can get their service on either T-Mobile or Verizon, but their
Verizon service has more features, and since domestic roaming is not
included, T-Mobile coverage will be non-existent in some areas,
    sometimes an entire State!

What is annoying to me is that when Apple purchased Texture to create
Apple News, and dropped support for non-Apple devices. I like reading on
my larger laptop screen. Apple TV+ and Apple Music can be used on
non-Apple devices, but not Apple News+. I would pay for an Apple One
family subscription if Apple News+ was cross-platform.
