• How to improve battery life? Use tape

From Chris@21:1/5 to All on Wed Oct 11 16:05:06 2023
A study has found that using a different type of tape to hold your
lithium battery in place can improve battery life by 10%.

Like so often you got the things very wrong:

As CBC reports, a research team led by PhD student Anu Adamson found
that the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) tape typically used to hold lithium-ion battery components together is prone to dissolving. This
happens due to a chemical reaction in the battery and leads to a battery self-discharging over time.

That means the manufacturers not the users.

    Nice discovery.

Probably needs a lot of actual testing in manufacturing, temperature and
other environmentals, etc. and so on, and of course the overall
    life-cycle of the battery.

If it holds up it will a nice boost to the industry.

Don't worry - such things get around quickly. Putting it into
production could take a few years though.

Remember when Apple put in the cheapest battery components possible in the iPhone according to the analysts?

    No?
    Look it up.

We covered it in gory detail in the past on this very newsgroup.

    Nope.

The truth is a powerful argument, Chris.

My claim is well documented as we discussed it on these very newsgroups.
Your excuse that Samsung forced Apple to make bad choices is bogus.

How did Android as a while force Apple to cheap out on batteries Chris?
    Your premise is preposterous.

You don't even realize probably how scared you are of facts about Apple.
You're so afraid of those facts that you fabricate excuses for them.

Like saying Google forced Apple to cheap out on battery components.
    That's absurd, Chris.

We covered the fact that the analysts claimed Apple super cheaped out on battery components - which - you may not remember - but I certainly do.

It's a matter of public record - so if you hate that fact - don't go
blaming Android for Apple putting the cheapest components possible into the battery technology.

    Blame Apple for once.

Your claim that Android made Apple cheap out doesn't have any merit.

About Apple cheaping out on battery technology, Jolly Roger.

FACT: *Prominent analysts claimed Apple cheaped out on battery components.*
