French regulators say iPhone 12 emits too much radiation, Apple must
    take it off market

French regulators ordered Apple to stop selling the iPhone 12, saying
it emits electromagnetic radiation levels that are above European
Union standards for exposure. The company disputed the findings and
said the device complies with regulations.
    ...
    ...
France's digital minister said the iPhone 12's radiation levels are
still much lower than levels that scientific studies consider could
harm users, and the agency itself acknowledges that its tests don't
    reflect typical phone use.
    ...
    ...
He said the iPhone 12's radiation levels are "slightly higher" than EU standards but "significantly lower than levels where scientific
studies consider there may be consequences for users. But the rule is
    the rule."

Apple give a finger to the EU, the EU give them the finger back!

This could be a long running battle of the wills... time to grab the
    popcorn.

It's France's digital minister...."Apple said the iPhone 12 has been
certified by multiple international bodies and complies with all
applicable regulations and standards for radiation around the world."

A software update might fix this issue.....TX won't be as "strong."

FDA appears to back Apple in iPhone 12 fracas as France halts sales
    due to radiation fears
    ...
    ...
"Based on the evaluation of the currently available information, the
FDA believes that the weight of scientific evidence has not linked
exposure to radio frequency energy from cell phone use with any health
problems at or below the radio frequency exposure limits set by the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC)," FDA press officer Jim
    McKinney told The Post.

"The FDA continually monitors the scientific studies and public health
data for evidence that radio frequency energy from cell phones could
cause adverse health effects," he said.

The iPhone 12 will soon be legal in France again / iOS 17.1 includes
an update that brings the iPhone 12 into compliance with French
    electromagnetic emissions test protocols.
