Howler monkeys are one of the loudest land animals on Earth, capable
of volumes of 140 decibels, and can be heard from about 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) away. Male howler monkeys often use this ability to signal
    their fitness to potential partners

Maybe dick size doesn't always correlate with "reproductive fitness"?
I've seen well argued essays that dick size does correlate with
monogamy, at least on a species level. The more likely a female is to
have multiple partners, the advantage to getting semen close to the
ovaries on initial deposit. This makes it harder for a subsequent
encounter to remove the previsously deposited semen and gives a head
    start for the new.

Silverback gorillas are the largest primates, but have very small
genitals. Monogamy is well enforced via physical strength among those
    primates.

Human genitals seem designed for reproductive fitness in the face of
multiple sexual partners in a short period of time. Penis and ejaculate
volume are large relative body size in primates. The shape of the glans
seems designed to remove semen of competition.

Howler monkey decibel levels could be about scaring off potential
competiton as much as attracting mates.

The glans penis restricts the increase in ICP [ntracavernosal
pressure] during sexual intercourse, playing a protective role for
both the corpora cavernosa and the female genitalia.
