• You're more productive in the office

You're more productive in the office, say elite CEOs. Data seems to
    back them up.

The idea of permanent remote work is slipping away.

Bosses of firms like Meta and Goldman Sachs are ordering employees
back to the office most days.

Authors of some of the top WFH studies suggest they are right --
    on some measures.
    ...
    ...
A poll this year from The Washington Post and Ipsos found that more
than half of US workers who are fully remote would be willing to take
a pay cut rather than return to the office.

So individualized though. I work with some folks who, from their
homes, are insanely productive, engaged, and available. You'd never
know where they are, and it doesn't matter. But I also "work" with
some folks who are 100% playing fast and loose, doing less work than
ever, phoning it in, and trying to claim 40 hours/week for what is
probably more like 15. It's infuriating - they wouldn't get away with
this kind of poor performance if the rest of the office could see them.

My niece, with a masters in programming, works at home. In her case,
building web pages with different parameters for this/that item
(industrial), the company knows if she is working or not. They send
requests for this/that to be done, and she makes it so.

Hence, productively depends upon the person, and how a company
evaluates. Gold bricken is nothing new...
