• trump's day tomorrow

From micky@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jun 12 17:11:01 2023
trump's arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow, but one lawyer he tried
to hire turned him down (and Trusty and another lawyer resigned a few
days ago) so the news said that while he can be booked tomorrow the
arraigment may have to be postponed because he has to have a lawyer to
    plead.

Can't the court let the public defender represent him just for the
    arraignment?

He has a Florida lawyer on his team - Chris Kise - and I assume he was the
one who would represent him at the arraignment. But I believe he is looking for a Florida attorney with experience in national security matters to
    handle the case going forward.

Isn't he the one who got paid a million in advance, and then they
stopped using him so much, maybe because trump didn't want to do what he
    said.

I came in in the middle of some lawyer with blonde wavy hair reading a statement from him. Because of the stupid Chyrons on MSNBC and all the
other news networks, it did not say on the screen who she was** The
narrator said she was a real-estate lawyer. I didn't watch enough to
know if she represented him in court.

**Instead it said "Breaking news. President Trump appears in court" or something like that, which is true for hours on end. After watching for
5 minutes everyone knows the high level topic, but the name of the
person talking they will display for 15 seconds once or maybe every 10
minutes. I think I wrote to them once to complain about this, but it
    didn't help.
