• Was the judge in the Rittenhouse case correct in keeping this evidence

    From S K@21:1/5 to All on Thu May 4 09:39:38 2023
Before the killings, Rittenhouse is on a video saying "I wish I had my AR-15 with me" to take shots at people he thinks were shoplifters.

The judge kept it out because he said it was "propensity evidence"

During the cross of Rittenhouse, the prosecutor elicited testimony from Rittenhouse that "you can use deadly force to protect your life, but can't use deadly force to protect property."

the prosecutor wanted to impeach him with the video - but the judge STILL kept it out, totally ignoring the fact that it was being sought to be introduced for a different reason = to impeach the credibility of the defendant.
