Hello,
I'm in rural NW Florida. We are having problems with helicopters flying
at what appears to be dangerously low altitude over the farm.
One of the helos appear to be based with a county sheriff of a nearby county. The helo is painted in camo colors and the N-number is
obscured. The pilot wears a camo flight suit.
The other helos appear to be various military makes/models and I would
guess is probably associated with Homeland or an Army base 30+ miles away.
The county sheriff's department has a well-earned history of corruption
going way, way back and I'm positive there's no satisfaction to be
gained by a complaint filed there. They honestly do think they are
above the law.
As far as the military/Homeland birds, I dunno what to think as
previously I did not believe them to be this &^^%$%$# reckless.
So, how do you deal with reckless, threatening behavior from elements of government? Is there any "normal functioning" process remaining to deal with these very immature and frightening delinquents?
...
The typical minimum altitude is 1000 feet especially flat areas. The registration numbers on a helicopter probably can't be read at that
